Amy to guest star on Amazon Studios’ “Alpha House”

Amy has signed on for a recurring guest star role on Amazon’s upcoming original series, Alpha House. The series, which stars John Goodman, follows four senators who live together in a rented house in Washington, DC. According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Sedaris will portray Louise Laffer, the sweet, concerned wife of Sen. Louis Laffer.” Alpha House will be available to stream later this year on Amazon Prime. If you are a Prime member, you can already add the first season to your watchlist and check out the pilot (from last spring).

Amy returns to Raising Hope

Amy Sedaris returns to Raising Hope

TV Guide reports that Amy has been booked for a guest spot on the upcoming season of Raising Hope on Fox! You might remember that Amy had a couple fantastic guest spots in seasons 1 and 2 as Virginia’s (Martha Plimpton) obnoxious cousin, Delilah–the role she’ll be reprising for the 4th season. The new season of Raising Hope begins in November, so Amy’s episode won’t air for a while… which gives you plenty of time to Netflix her first two appearances! (Both are currently available on Netflix streaming–look for “What Up, Cuz?” in season 1, and “Henderson, Nevada-Adjacent Baby” in season 2.)

Amy on the set of ‘Chef’; premiere info for ‘The Heart, She Holler’

Amy Sedaris on the set of Jon Favreau's "Chef"Jon Favreau has posted another Vine video from the set of his new indie flick, Chef, currently filming in Los Angeles. A bit more about the movie synopsis from IMDB:

A chef who loses his restaurant job starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family.

Also, Amy will be returning to television very soon! As in, a regular cast member of a series! Adult Swim posted a video from the Heart, She Holler panel at San Diego Comic-Con a couple weeks ago, and it’s mentioned that season 2 of the show will premiere on September 10 and run for 14 episodes! Episodes will air on consecutive nights, like a soap opera (as opposed to the typical once per week)–perfect, since the show is something of a soap opera. Amy is taking over the role of Hurshe Heartshe (played by Kristen Schaal in season one), a sleazy white trash woman who is constantly plotting to take over the town. Looks like a part that’s going to be perfect for Amy!
